Who doesn’t love seeing a waterfall? Waterfalls are among the best natural sights the world has to offer, and Morocco just so happens to have a wealth of amazing waterfalls worth seeing.

There are a ton of great things to do in Morocco, from exploring Marrakech to kicking back on beautiful Legzira Beach.
But no matter what you do, make sure to visit one (several, if you can) of Morocco’s breathtaking waterfalls.
In fact, they’re so amazing that we’ve listed 10 of them for you to check off your travel itinerary!
1. Ouzoud Waterfall
Top of the list is Ouzoud Falls. This is the most well-known waterfall in Morocco and for good reason; it’s a stunning 100-meter waterfall surrounded in lush greenery and steep cliffs, with multiple cascades leading to a peaceful river.
You’ll find Ouzoud Waterfall, also called Cascades d’Ouzoud, northeast of Marrakech in the Middle Atlas Mountains.
You can hike to the top and look down or view the waterfalls from below – either way, it’s a sight that’s well worth the day trip.
2. Akchour Waterfalls
The Blue Town of Chefchaouen is a must-see tourist location in Morocco. And while there, you’ll want to see the Akchour waterfalls in Rif Valley – not too far from Chefchaouen.
One of them is an artificial waterfall, but that doesn’t make it any less breathtaking!
Also called Cascades d’Akchour, the Akchour waterfalls consist of various beautiful waterfalls along a picturesque river.
You’ll want to set aside a full day to take them all in, but you can bet that the Cascades d’Akchour won’t disappoint.
3. Paradise Valley Waterfall
Paradise Valley is aptly named – as it really looks like paradise. And when you reach the waterfall, it’s a beautiful scene of cascading falls above a freshwater pool where you can swim and paddle.
Paradise Valley Waterfall is close to Agadir, and involves a beautiful trip through forests, mountains, and rivers before reaching it.
There are actually three waterfalls in Paradise Valley to see, so yep, don’t forget to bring your camera.
4. Oum Rabia Waterfall
Oum Rabia Waterfall, also known as the Cascades Oum er-Rbia, is another waterfall to find in the Middle Atlas in Khénifra Province.
It’s one of the biggest waterfalls in Morocco too, making a must-see sight for waterfall lovers and sightseers.
Oum Rabia Waterfall feeds the Oum Rbia River, and the river is just as beautiful to explore if you have the time. You can get close to falls via a pathway (if you consider yourself a thrill-seeker), but the falls are just as beautiful to view from afar.
5. Ras Elma Waterfall
If you have the time, Ras Elma Waterfall, also called Sources Ras el-Maa, is also close to the Blue Village of Chefchaouen.
It’s not big like the waterfalls of Akchour, but it’s quiet – serving as a real gem for those who like peaceful spots that not too many tourists visit.
It’s located in the Medina of Chefchaouen, with a small footbridge for viewing the calm waterfall springs from above.
There’s a lot of idyllic spots to explore by foot in the town as well, so it’s well worth putting on your Morocco to-do list.
6. Tizgui Waterfall
If you like to hike, Tizgui Waterfall in Southern Morocco will be right up your alley. This breathtaking waterfall is a sight to behold after a hike through rocky hills and valleys, setting the scene for picnics and camping under the stars.
So for nature lovers and hikers, Tizgui Falls is a must-see. And it’s not just the falls that are stunning, but the location itself, which is surrounded by orange cliffs and green foliage. You can even swim and cool off in the river too.
7. Imlil Waterfall
Just outside the small village of Imlil, Imlil Waterfall, or Imlil Cascades as locals call it, is a beautiful sequence of waterfalls that can be taken in over a scenic trek.
The nearby smaller villages are also worth stopping in if you want to mingle with the Berber locals.
Imlil Waterfall has dry periods from June to September, but it’s still a stunning sight. For the best experience, however, try to see the falls in full flow!
8. Imi n’Ifri Waterfall
Imi n’Ifri Waterfall isn’t the most “powerful” waterfall in Morocco, but it is one of the most stunning, since it’s nestled in a high natural arch. In fact, the rocky bridge was once a cave, now collapsed, making the spot even more fascinating.
Imi n’Ifri Waterfall is located near Demnate, and can be visited on a day trip from Marrakech.
Hire a tour guide to take you, as it’s also interesting to hear about the legends associated with Imi n’Ifri Waterfall and its large natural bridge.
9. Imouzzer Agadir Waterfall
Immouzer Agadir Waterfall, also called Cascade Immouzer des Ida-Outanane, is a large waterfall near the Berber village of Immouzer, northeast of Agadir.
It’s the high gushing waterfalls and turquoise pool that make this spot worth visiting, especially if you like to swim!
It’s a good idea to visit Immouzer Waterfall via a guided tour, as the journey there offers stunning views of gorges, valleys, palm groves, fir forests, and small mountains.
It’s something of a hidden gem, so it’s great if you like to go off the beaten path.
10. Sidi M’barek Waterfall
Not far from the Essaouira coastline is Sidi M’barek Waterfall – a low-lying waterfall surrounded by gorgeous cliffs.
The journey there boasts sand dunes and tall forests (with climbing goats) so it’s perfect if you’re up for a sightseeing trek.
The spot is ideal for picnics, and the nearby beaches are also great if you like to surf – or just want to cool off after seeing the falls.
Needless to say, it’s another waterfall in Morocco that you need to visit!
